Please don’t make me kill you.

Okay, I don’t know if you’re having a bad day or just an asshat, but the point of the matter is, YOU DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE SHIT. Especially the poor girl working the cash register, I.E. yours truly. Just because you pick up the wrong thing is not a reason to fucking ream me a new one. And yes, federal law does require me to write down your information if you wish to purchase psuedophedrine. No really, I don’t care where you live. I don’t care how old you are. I really don’t give a damn about anything about you.

UGH. It has been A day.

Just a few tips and reminders folks!

1. Treat the cashier nicely. She may or may not leap over the counter and gouge out your eyeballs if you do not.

2. When you pick up the wrong thing, it’s nobodys fault but your own. Do not take it out on other people because you are a moron.

3. Don’t fucking tell me I don’t know how to do my job.

4. In referance to number three, yes I am, in fact, old enough to be a manager. And yes, I perform my job quite well. Thanks.

5. The price that is marked is the correct price, no I will not mark it down for you because “it’s too expensive”. Then don’t fucking buy it. No skin off my back, CVS will survive without you.

6. Chance are no one likes you because you’re such an asshat. Kill yourself.

I feel so much better.

[Edit] Mike always does silly little things that make me happy. Like when I woke up from my nap and saw these on my away thing:

Prince0fParanoia: I know your asleep. But, I’m awake.
Auto response from vi0let waves: Begin, Present, Fade out. Judgement please don’t fail me now.
Prince0fParanoia: And I got your messages
Prince0fParanoia: I’ll be here when you come over sweety, I love you

Those made me happy after a bad day. :)

And you should join my fanlisting. [/Edit]

Ah yes. The fun days of being a cashier. Enjoyable except for the assholes. Because of my experience of cashiering, i now find myself trying to be nice and pleasant even on a bad day.

you never know when the cashier has a loaded gun.

There’s no point in taking it out on the cashier if you pick up the wrong thing or if you think something is too expensive.

On the other hand it happens quiet often that a cashier is in a bad mood and takes that out on the customers. In that case I will leave with a little nasty comment directed at the cashier to give him / her something to think about before the next customer comes along. No one wants to shop at a store where the staff is unfriendly all the time.

I love my friendly neighborhood cashier Ashley! If you’d like to gouge out someone’s eyeballs, you should do it with that evil demonic bunny eraser. Remember that from your “Day in the Life” post from years ago? Gah! Yayness.

Also, would you like for me to make this idiot “disappear”? I have connections.

I used to work at the photo counter at Eckerd, which is also a drugstore. And my, oh my. Customers are always stupid, and you will always be blamed for their lack of common sense. I’m so glad I’m not working in retail/customer service/etc. anymore. I absolutely could not take it.

Like the song lyric says: Been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding.

This would account for all the asshats that seem to be multiplying in the area of our store. And it would also account for the dumb-ass parents of crackhead kids who let their little hellions run amok in the store.
People suck. I feel your pain.

Hey!

WTF! Who is stupid enough to blame other for picking up the wrong thing! It would be all your fault, not anyone else. I hate people who think they are always right and that they are perfect in every way. Hopefully you won’t have any of those people anytime soon.

I hate people. Folks like that are the only reason I depise working in Customer Service. BLAH. You give ‘em what for though, Ash! HEE HEE!

I joined yours but are you going to join mine? XD

Two words. People suck. As a cashier, you’re a target for people to take shit out on. So I’m not surprised. Ignore them though and feel better. :)

Ok, can I just express my absolute adoration for you after reading that? This SO could have been me. I work at a local flower shop and I feel like this on a regular basis. Customers are complete asswipes. I hate them. All of them. Ha.

Thanks… I really needed that.

True, sales persons are humans too and must be treated as such… still, I thought there was this unspoken law “the customer’s always right”.

I keep trying to remember that for when I start working as a computer programmer. Try seeing those people explain what they want, and then they get it: but I wanted something COMPLETELY different. Sure you can rant and rave at them (you’re right), but will they come back… they have the cash.

I like your boyfriend’s nickname. :)
