So, as many of you know, I’ve had serious car problems for the last, oh, two or so years. I’ve really been trying to keep ahold of the car I have now, because well, I don’t make enough money to buy a new one (or even a decent used). Well, my car is, pretty much, dead. They can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. The past two months I’ve had my car maybe two weeks. It’s been in the shop the rest of the time. I get it back, it works fine for a few days, it breaks again. Same thing. They’ve tried everything they can think of and they just can’t figure out whats wrong with it. Luckily, Ed hasn’t charged me for any labor, only parts. But at this point, I’m really stuck in a bind, because this means I don’t have any choice, I HAVE to buy a new car. Which means I have to get another job, or find a better paying one. Which honestly, I really don’t want to do. I like my job, I love the people I work with. So yeah, my stupid car has pushed me into a position I really, really don’t want to be in.

Because, leaving my current job would mean I have to get a full time 9-5 job with benefits, which means I can’t go back to school as long as I have a car payment. Which means I’ll be living at home until I’m like 27. -sigh- Life sucks. My Mom and Stan were looking at cars last night for me though. Of course, they were looking at every kind of car I don’t want to drive. And I’m stubborn and refuse to invest $10,000 in something that I don’t like. Which means, everything but a sports car. Yes, I don’t want another sedan, and yes, I refuse to buy an american made car. I really want an eclipse, but I’ve been hard pressed to find one for under $15,000. But! I did some searching last night and I found two. Both with 50,000 miles (give or take a few) on them, and under $10,000. Not to mention both are manual and have a sunroof. (Two of my requirements for a new car.)

First Choice:
Click Me for a PicturePrice: $9,980

Second Choice:
Click Me for a PicturePrice: $9,450

Anyway, now I gotta go get a loan, find another job, and get my ass straightened out. I gotta talk to Amy today when I go in, I don’t want her to read this first.

When it rains, it pours. I feel so bad. I wish I had $10,000 to just hand to you so you can get a new car (second choice is totally my choice). I guess I’ll have to go back to stripping. LOL! I hope things work out… you know… miracles and all that.

It sounds like my first car, I bought it for 1500 and I spent 3000 trying to keep it running 3 months after I bought it. Good luck with the car situation.

That sucks! Is your mom helping you pay for a new car, or do you have to buy it all on your own? I personally like the color of the second car better, but it sounds like the first car has a lot more features. Buy whatever one is newer (if possible). Good luck!

You’re the oposite of me :P I’m sick of sports cars and things. I want something comfortable, but also stylish. I dunno, but I love the silver car! :)

I’m sorry to hear about your car. I wish i could say i know how you feel but being 14, i don’t. But I’m sure things will get better. and the cars you have found are pretty good! My family was slightly luckier, because our car was just about to die but then it got hit by a lorry instead so we got a bit of money for it. But i hope things turn out well for you. :)

Eh that sucks about your car :/ Hopefully you dont have to get a new job afterall and things work out :D I like the look of the second car but I like the color of the first one better haha. I’ve always wanted a sunroof too, but sometimes they leak :/ Hope you enjoy whichever car you end up getting :)

I had the same issues with my old Jeep! We were taking it in almost every 2-3 weeks with problems, ended up spending way too much money to get it fixed and then just sold it because it wasn’t worth the effort anymore lol.

I really like the red car that you have as your second choice. I would suggest possibly leasing a car, I’m doing that right now (I have a Chevy Aveo which I adore) and it is a pretty good option for me. The payments are really low so I don’t have to worry about $400 or some off bucks coming out of my paycheck every month.

Wow I really rambled…I shall stop now lol.

That car looks like the mitsibushi eclipse. Am I right? If it is that isn’t a really good car. They have issues with the transmission. If that is the car it is.

I drive a 03′ Eclipse like the first you posted, in exactly the same color with a sunroof and spoiler, but it’s an automatic. I’ve had no problems whatsoever with my car and bought it used at the dealership. Mitsubishi’s are really reliable cars in my opinion. Good luck with your choice in purchasing a car.

That really sucks, hun. I’d give you my truck, but has wasps nesting in it, the dash falls apart, there’s no heat or a/c, the brakes are shot, and you can see the pavement rushing beneath you as your driving. You don’t want it. LOL. Although it is good on gas…

I say go with the red one. It’s a little cheaper, has less miles, and you’d look uber hot in it. lol :).
