Filed under: Apartment at 1:46 am

I need to keep you guys updated more. So Mike and I have been talking about moving out for awhile now. Recently we’ve been taking it a lot more seriously, with my parents deciding to charge me rent and the what not. So we started looking into apartments and the such. We got lucky and fell in love with the first one we actually went to look at.

It’s perfect for us. It’s two bedrooms, two baths, on the water and just absolutely fucking gorgeous. It’s only $765/month, which is just in our price range. Which is good, we’ve been having issues finding one for under $900/month in Harford County. I’m pretty sure this one is lower because it’s right on the county line, so it’s almost Baltimore County, but the address is in Harford. So yeah. Anyway, we started filling out the application and we turn it in on Friday.

Pictures!

So this is all coming pretty fast, but I’m excited. I’m scared, but I’m really excited. Two months ago I didn’t think I’d be moving out for years yet. But this is it. It feels right. I know it’s right. Actually it’s kind of funny, Mike and I were eating at Panda Express the other day and the lady gave us an extra fortune cookie. So we both opened ours and then said we’d split the extra one. The fortune in the extra one was “Don’t be afraid to take the next big step”. I’m taking that as a sign.

So keep your fingers crossed that we get it guys!

That apartment is fucking beautiful — take it! And the Chinese are generally super-intelligent people. I think you should trust any advice they put in their fortune cookies. :)

The appartment looks nice:) And you have some parents, really. I think I’d be depressed until the end of my life if my mom and dad were like that with me:( I’m sorry.

The apartment looks nice, but the view is amazing. And oh, how I wish rent was that cheap here in Washington. Not that I pay rent, I’ve got a mortgage, but still - it would be nice if rent was that cheap. *lol* I’ve got my fingers crossed for you and Mikey, sweetie!

That’s really great that you’re moving out, I’m sure you’ll be really happy in your own space. When I “moved out”, I was 18 and jobless and was pretty terrified. After I got settled though, I was a lot more content with life. That apartment is cute, and I can’t believe it’s only $765 for a 2br/2ba - is anything inlcluded?

I love Baltimore, by the way! Growing up in the Philly area, as kids we’d always head down to the aquarium for little educational trips on the weekend, haha. I love that damn aquarium!

Anyway, before I get more off topic: good luck!!! I wish you guys the best. Those fortune cookies are no joke :)

I aim on moving out of the parents house one of these days myself. However, with my current job, barely bringing home $100 a week (yes, very pathetic), it’s out of the question. I need to get a new/steady job first.

That apartment is beautiful. I’d definitely jump on it with the opportunity in your hands.
